How to measure Business Authenticity in 2024
June 20, 2024
You can teach an old dog new tricks!
September 24, 2024Grab your notes from the event and take a look-see.
Whether you were running the show or participating in it, we all have a perspective that will add to the richness of the event. Running it, you have great notes and will do an evaluation or debrief of the time spent, teamwork, actual practice or overview, and a look at the part you played as a leader overall.
If you participated, you can give the notes you experienced for yourself and the run of the show. Every part played in an event is so worthy of critique. Critique is not a bad word. (We need to get used to that word because it makes us better.)
We just had an event with several moving parts. Many organizations produced the event and 25 organizations played a part in it. I always look at what we did right and I must also look at the things we can do better. That is what makes the next event bigger and better.
We have scheduled a debriefing meeting so we can all share our perspectives, but I will start it. I will go to my final meeting notes before the event and have everyone walk through with me.

- What can we do better?
I know we could do better. We can always do better. What we cannot do is stay quiet in our observation. We must own it and really get to work on the part we played. Sometimes the work might not be "our job," but if we can catch those things and shine a light on them, the next event will be spectacular.
I will look forward to our next event with pride and determination.
