Running the Business, Running Ourselves
Being a solopreneur is equal parts exhilarating and exhausting. You wear all the hats: CEO, marketer, admin, customer service, and sometimes even the office janitor. It’s a full-time job with part-time predictability and 24/7 mental chatter. The hustle never really stops. It only changes shape.

Every Monday starts with good intentions: networking, outreach, making connections, and checking in with past leads. You pitch, you propose, and you follow up—again and again. Then you finally land the deal and shift gears into production mode. You do the work, deliver with excellence, and before you can even enjoy the small victory... you’re back on the treadmill, running after the next project.
There’s a certain rhythm to it:
- Connect
- Pitch
- Propose
- Follow Up
- Close the Deal
- Do the Work
- Repeat
And while it’s a cycle that keeps the business alive, it can also keep you stuck—constantly chasing, rarely pausing. The wins are often solitary. The setbacks are personal. And the mental load is real.
But here's the thing: even though the treadmill never quite stops, we get stronger. With each lap around the cycle, we refine our offers, our pitch, and our ability to deliver. We learn how to work smarter, price better, protect our time, and prioritize what matters. Some weeks we glide, other weeks we crawl—but we keep moving.
So, to all my fellow solopreneurs:
If you’re feeling like you’re on an endless treadmill, you're not alone. And maybe the goal isn't to jump off, but to learn how to pace yourself—build in breathers, celebrate small wins, and remember why you started.
Because in the end, this treadmill isn’t just about running a business. It’s about building a life that’s truly your own.
