I just attended a Young Entrepreneurs Workshop from the island of Kauai, HI. The coolest thought I took away from it was the meaning of success. The question was posed “how do you see success?” It’s the one word that has several meanings. It is so true. What is the meaning of success to me? It’s growth. It’s happiness. It’s being thankful. Another way we can be successful is to always be breathing in and out goodness to our clients, family, and friends.
My goal for this newsletter is to help you level up your game. I have included 9 things that can help you get to that next level to better those around you.
- Hire Your Weakness. Hire someone to do the things that you are not an expert in will allowyou to focus on gaining that new connection, sponsorship, client, or whatever else you aim to achieve.
- Step Outside of Your Comfort Zone. If you are used to doing the same routine, you will get the same results. To achieve a different lifestyle, you must become someone you are not.The new you will you develop a fresh mindset that will improve your personal and professional lifestyle.
- Tell a Story. When starting out as a new business owner, deliver your products and services with a story. Make your potential clients feel and want what you have to offer. They should find a solution to their problems in your brand message. Remember, people buy from those they connect with.
- Partner with businesses that have a similar, or the same, target audience as you. The goal of collaboration is to attract more visibility to your business, bring in revenue, and building great relationships with businesses that are solid resources. You don’t need to know everything but it’s great if you know someone who does.
- Show Up. People will have no idea that your company exists if you do not show up and market. Stay committed and consistent with yourself and your business. If you’ve made a commitment to sign up for an event to better yourself or add some skills, show up and do it!
- Educate Yourself. Attend training’s, webinars, and seminars, read books, or take a course. Don’t let anything that is learn-able prevent you from accomplishing your goals and finding success.
- Hire a Business Coach. There comes a point in time when you’ll need guidance from a business coach. Coaches will help you unlock the goals within you and will help you reach the next level for your business.
- Develop Systems. Take a walk through the buying process of your customer and make every touch pain free. Go from recognition of your business to after the sale. It’s an ongoing process but systems make your business run smoothly.
- Quality Over Quantity. Understanding your clients’ needs is the motor to providing quality products and services. It increases the chance of customers returning to your business and can have a positive word of mouth effect.
How do you define the meaning of “Success”? I understand that it’s not a one-time thing. It’s a never-ending story of learning, living, and loving what you do. Now go and get it!
